Development Areas: Fine Motor Development
Fine motor development is the coordination of small muscle movements that occur in parts of the body like the fingers, usually in coordination with the eyes. In relation to the motor skills of the hands and fingers, the term skill is commonly used. When applied to the theory of human fitness, this is called “manual dexterity.” The high level of manual dexterity that humans exhibit can be attributed to the way manual tasks are controlled by the nervous system. When a child has problems with literacy, one of the causes may be that the estimation of fine motor skills from the first month of life is not given the necessary importance, which is subsequently reflected in tasks where they are used simultaneously , the eye, hand, fingers such as: tearing, cutting, painting, stacking objects, coloring, writing and allowing the child to exercise his sight when reading.
